Before You Check
Requirements for Ratibi Card Balance Check
To check your Ratibi card balance online you need two pieces of information from your physical card. Have it ready before you perform Ratibi card balance check on the portal.
1. Last 4 digits of your card number
Your card has a 16-digit number on the front. You only need the last 4 digits for the portal.
Example: card ending in 3456, enter 3456 only.
2. Your 13-digit Card ID
Found on the paper card carrier inside the envelope your employer gave you. Also printed at the bottom-left corner of some cards.
Lost the carrier? Visit any FAB branch with your Emirates ID.
3. The captcha code
When you open the Magnati portal a captcha image appears. Type exactly what you see. Required every time.
If the captcha is hard to read, refresh the page to get a new one.
No Card ID? No problem
The FAB ATM method works with your card and PIN only. No Card ID needed at any ATM. See Method 3 below.

Portal can be slow on payday
The portal gets busy between the 25th and 28th of every month. If it loads slowly, wait a few minutes and try again. The ATM method is a good alternative on payday.

Method 2: Payit App (Best for Regular Use)
This is the FAB’s official digital wallet. Once linked to Payit, checking your Ratibi card balance is instant every time. Also lets you send money to 200+ countries and pay utility bills.
1. Download the App
Download the Payit app from Google Play or Apple App Store. Search Payit FAB.
2. Open and Sign Up
Open the app and tap Sign Up. Choose Ratibi Cardholder when asked about card type.
3. Scan Emirates ID
Scan your Emirates ID using your phone camera and fill in your personal details.
4. Record Security Video
Record a short security video of yourself saying a sequence of numbers shown on screen.
5. Enter Card Details

You can also perform Ratibi card salary check by sending SMS. This method works on any mobile phone without internet, including basic phones. Your mobile number must be registered with FAB.

Open the SMS or messaging app on your phone.

Type BAL followed by a space and the last 4 digits of your account number. Example: BAL 3456
3. Send to 2121
Send this message to 2121.
4. Receive Reply
You will receive a reply within seconds showing your current available balance.
Telecom charges may apply
Your telecom provider (Etisalat or du) may charge around AED 0.30 to AED 1.00. FAB does not charge for the balance inquiry itself. If you get no reply call 600 52 2298.

Method 5: FAB Mobile App
The FAB Mobile Banking app works for standard FAB account holders. For Ratibi prepaid cardholders it may show limited information. If your card does not appear, use the PPC Magnati portal or Payit instead.

Card Expiry and Renewal
Ratibi cards typically last 3 to 5 years. The expiry date is printed on the front in MM/YY format. Your employer must apply for a replacement card before expiry. Salary will not be credited to an expired card.

Common Problems and How to Fix Them
Most Ratibi card issues have a simple fix. Here are the most common problems and how to resolve them quickly.
Salary not credited to your card
Check the date first. Most UAE employers pay between the 25th and last day of the month. Confirm with HR that salary was submitted via WPS. If confirmed sent and still missing after 24 hours, call 600 52 2298.
Portal shows Invalid Card Details
You entered the wrong last 4 digits, wrong Card ID or incorrect captcha. Check each field separately. Use the last 4 of the 16-digit card number, not the Card ID. If it keeps failing use the ATM instead.
Card is blocked
Happens when the wrong PIN is entered too many times at an ATM. Call 600 52 2298 to unblock. Have your Emirates ID ready. If your card is lost or stolen call the same number immediately.
Balance shows zero but salary should be there
There is sometimes a few hours delay between when the employer submits salaries and when the balance updates. Wait until end of business day. If still zero next morning contact your employer first then FAB.
Available balance vs current balance
Available balance is what you can spend right now. Use this for everyday decisions. Current balance includes pending transactions not yet settled so it may differ slightly. FAB charges AED 1.50 for each declined transaction when your balance is insufficient.
